Instructions for taking measurements

For measuring you need

A soft measuring tape
  • Soft tape measure (recommended)
To be helped by another person
  • To be assisted by another person (optional)

What if I don't have a tape measure?

If you don't have a tape measure, you can also use a string and then measure the string with a ruler, for example.

How accurately do I measure?

Measurements are taken with an accuracy of 1 cm.

Can I take measurements with clothes on?

It is recommended to take the measurements without clothing covering the part to be measured or through the thinnest possible clothing to get the most accurate measurement result. When taking measurements, you should take off any clothing items that may affect the measurements or the shape of the measurement point, such as binders, bras or sports bras.

Can I take the measurements myself?

If possible, it would be good if another person assisted in taking the measurements, so that you can take them in as relaxed and natural a position as possible. If this is not possible, you can also take the measurements yourself. Try to pay attention that you stay in as natural and relaxed a position as possible during the measurement.

Do the lungs have to breathe fully during the measurement?

Breathe normally during the measurement and try to be in a normal and relaxed position. For example, the lungs do not need to be inflated when measuring. The clothing sizes take into account the flexibility required for breathing and movement.
