Collection: Pride Flags

The story of the Pride flag began in 1978 when San Francisco tailor Gilbert Baker was asked to create a flag for the Pride march. The original flag had eight stripes, but the following year, due to a fabric shortage, they switched to using the currently known six-striped version.

Since then, many more Pride flags have appeared and new versions of them have been created. Nowadays, Pride flags comprise a number of flags depicting different identities and they still live organically with the community as it grows and develops.
