Binder measurement instructions

Binder size is measured according to the average chest circumference. This table shows the binders standard size . The manufacturers' own size markings may differ, in which case the standard size helps to choose the right size between different manufacturers and models.

There is a calculator at the bottom of the page that you can use to easily find out the appropriate standard size based on your measurements.

Before measuring, take off upper parts that shape the chest, such as a binder, bra or sports bra or other clothing that affects the shape of the chest. You get the best measurement result without the top or through the thinnest possible top.

CHEST MEASUREMENT

To find your size, measure your bust in two places: nipple height and armpit height. The tape measure should be tight, but not pinching. Add these numbers together and then divide by two.

Measure the chest circumference from the height of the armpits. The tape measure should be tight, but not pinching.

Measure the circumference of the chest from the height of the nipples. The measuring tape should be tight, but not squeeze the fabric together.

TABLE OF DIMENSIONS FOR STANDARD SIZES OF BINDERS

Standard size

Average chest circumference

80 77 – 82 cm
85 82 – 87 cm
90 87 – 92 cm
95 92 – 97 cm
100 97 – 102 cm
105 102 – 107 cm
110 107 – 112 cm
115 112 – 117 cm
120 117 – 124 cm
130 125 – 135 cm

E.g. if the circumference is 105 at the height of the nipples and 98 at the height of the armpits

105 + 98 = 203

203 / 2 = 101.5

In this case, the standard size is 100.

The standard size is indicative and can be used as an aid when choosing sizes from the collections of several different manufacturers. However, in addition to that, we recommend always checking the product-specific size chart on the product page.

SHOULDER MEASUREMENT

In some models, the shoulder measurement can be used to help choose the size. The shoulder measurement is a guide if you are between two sizes. However, you should primarily choose the size according to your bust!

Measure the width of the shoulders from the humerus to the humerus across the back. Feel the top of your shoulder with your fingers until you feel the head of the bone. Measure this point. The measurement should not be taken from the side of the shoulder, but from the end of the humerus.

IF YOU ARE ON THE LIMITS OF TWO SIZES

Every body is its own unique individual, so several things need to be taken into account when evaluating the binder size. If you are between two sizes and your armpit measurement is significantly smaller than the average chest size, you should choose the smaller size. This is because the underarm measurement is inflexible, but the nipple measurement contains malleable, soft tissue.

For example, if the circumference is 108 at the height of the nipples and 96 at the height of the armpits

108 + 96 = 204

204 / 2 = 102

In this case, we are on the border between standard sizes 100 and 105, but since the armpit measurement is significantly smaller than the average chest size, the smaller size 100 is chosen.
